This is like a "restomod", a classic CSY with no carbon footprint, no fuel, no oil change, no maintenance. All with solar charging system, with Lithium batteries, and electric motor.
The Peter Schmitt designed CSY 33 gained its fabulous reputation in the late 70s as the "go to" Caribbean charter boat for a couple or family. The raised salon was before its time and give the interior salon its bright airy open feel. The interior feels more like a 36 footer.
Unfortunately, the boat received some "dock rash" in hurricane Sally, but survived in tack and unscathed structurally. This minor project would be well worth the undertaking. The quiet electric engine gives you the quiet of sailing even when motoring.
