For those that follow cruising yachts, know the Bayliner 4788 has the
reputation as one of the best laid out and most spacious in it class.
The split level design with salon and galley on level with the aft
deck (cockpit) that then opens to the pilot house up and three
staterooms lower, allows for easy access through out the boat. This
is one of the few cruisers that is a joy to drive from the inside
pilot house with easy access to both flybridge, foredeck and aft
The owner, past commodore and Great Loop veteran, has been a
meticulous steward of this vessel during his tenure. This list of
up-grades and on-going routine maintenance is very impressive.
Including, recent (2019) bottom cleaning, wax and detail of the hull,
and interior detailed 3/2019. The 2018 additions include new microwave
with stove vent, new AIS transceiver with new antennas, 48" xHD2
radar, new strata-glass on forward fly bridge, vacuum flush toilets overhauled.
The 2017/2016 additions include Washer/dryer, HD/smart TV and custom
cabinetry, new AC pump, new engine raw water pump, new macerator pump,
new saltwater/wash down pump, all new LED lighting, new holding tank
gauges. The bottom line is if there is an improvement that could be
made or a system or function that needs addressed it was not
neglected. The boat defies it age, and has cruising systems rarely
found like water maker, solar power and inverter. Surveys from 2016
for both hull and engines available, all identified issue addressed.
This boat has just returned (fall 2018) from summer long cruise from
Gulf Coast to Maine and is ready to go Looping, touring the Bahamas or
coastal cruising; just turn the key!
